The Formula 1 Hungarian GP qualifying session is set to begin at 3:00 PM local time (1:00 PM GMT) on Saturday, July 30th. Fans can watch the qualifying session live on ESPN, Sky Sports F1, and F1 TV Pro.
In the first practice session (FP1), held on Friday, July 29th, Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton set the fastest lap time of 1:18.445. Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz Jr. was second fastest, followed by Red Bull driver Max Verstappen.
In the second practice session (FP2), held later on Friday, Verstappen set the fastest lap time of 1:17.944. Hamilton was second fastest, followed by Sainz Jr.
Qualifying
The qualifying session will determine the starting grid for the Hungarian GP race, which will be held on Sunday, July 31st. The top 10 drivers in qualifying will start the race in the top 10 positions.
Verstappen is the favorite to win the Hungarian GP. He has won the last two races at the Hungaroring circuit and is currently leading the drivers' championship standings.
However, Hamilton and Sainz Jr. will be hoping to challenge Verstappen for the win. Both drivers have been in good form in recent races and will be looking to make a statement at the Hungarian GP.
