Mets Star Francisco Lindor Leaves Game With Sore Back Day To Day

Mets star Francisco Lindor leaves game with sore back, day-to-day

New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor left Thursday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers with a sore back and is considered day-to-day, the team announced

Lindor exited the game in the fourth inning after appearing to injure his back while making a play in the field. He was replaced by Luis Guillorme.

The Mets said Lindor is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Friday to determine the severity of the injury. However, the team is hopeful that he will be able to return to the lineup soon.

Lindor is a key player for the Mets and his absence would be a big blow to the team

Lindor is one of the best shortstops in baseball and is a key part of the Mets' offense and defense. He is batting .258 with 13 home runs and 44 RBIs this season.

If Lindor is unable to play, the Mets will likely turn to Guillorme or Jeff McNeil to fill in at shortstop. Guillorme is a solid defender, but he is not as good of a hitter as Lindor. McNeil is a good hitter, but he is not as good of a defender as Guillorme.

The Mets are currently in first place in the NL East, but they are just a few games ahead of the Atlanta Braves. If Lindor is out for an extended period of time, it could hurt the Mets' chances of winning the division.
